Hometown: Nashville, TN
It's a feat that banjo, mandolin, fiddle and guitar player, motivational speaker and children's author Johnny Hiland does it all with just two arms! Wearing the hat of sessional guitarist for Toby Keith, Ricky Scaggs, Janie Frike and Hank Williams III, he is also a solo artist on Steve Vai's Favoured Nations label. Ricky Scaggs commented on Johnny, “I think Johnny Hiland is the most versatile guitar player I’ve ever heard. from Bill Monroe to Eddie Van Halen, he can play it all.”
what he says
"I simply love my Big Joe Stomp Boxes. I have the Saturated Tube Overdrive/Distortion, and the Phaser. I think the thing I find most amazing about these pedals is how responsive they are. The Phaser is very creamy, and offers a cool transparent tone. It doesn't sound digital, like a lot of others I have used in the past. The distortion is massively responsive, and can go from an old fuzz tone to an 80s rock tone. Both pedals are a part of my studio rig, and I am very proud to have them in my arsenal."
